This Thursday at 7pm, Forest Park will hold a hearing at Proviso Math and Science Academy regarding the O’Hare Flyer project that runs through all of your jurisdictions.

Local officials want to see a strong labor turnout in support of this job-creating opportunity, as some local opposition is expected to be on hand to try to derail the project. Please attend and/or have members attend who are willing to speak on the benefits

What: Community Forum on O’Hare Flyer

Key points about the project officials need to hear:

• O’Hare Flyer will redefine the region economically, attracting new businesses, conventions, jobs and new opportunities to the region

• Union labor and the railroads have powered Chicagoland’s economy for almost two centuries

• This project will bring that collaboration to a new era

• O’Hare Flyer has already signed an MOU with the Building Trades Council and committed to signing a PLA and using union labor to build this transformative project

• Union labor has the skilled workforce to deliver a project that will operate safely

• This is an opportunity to bring good job opportunities for union workers right here in Cook County and not far far way

• This is a first-of-its kind project because it uses existing right of way, rail corridors that have been here long before any of us were born, can be repurposed to deliver world-class service while putting local union employees to work.
